Samples
You can view sample packaging made of cardboard and corrugated cardboard (E-flute, B-flute or F-flute) in advance in the form of 3D CAD models or hold them in your hands in the form of sample products. Our development section is a very important department within the RHIEM Group. It is where your requirements and wishes are translated into optimal packaging solutions. Is your manufacturing process automatic? Our technologists will watch the trial runs with our folding boxes on your production lines and work with your production staff in order to arrive at the most compatible solution for your vending packs.
Packaging development
Marketing demands, product specifications and process requirements all come together in the development of foldable boxes and converge to arrive at the optimum solution. In addition to taking guidelines and legal requirements into account, we also optimise the subsequent manual and automatic packaging processes for the folding boxes and ensure that successful product placement in the market will be sustained in the long term.
Film lamination
RHIEM is one of the first suppliers of folding cartons to have installed the top-of-the-range Syrius high-speed laminating system in Germany. It offers unlimited flexibility in high-quality finishing – with all standard laminating films. All the usual types of film like PE, PET, PLA, OPP, acetate, nylon, thermal and textured film can be processed.
All the main finishing processes are available in-house, including cutting, folding, stitching and adhesive binding of marketing materials and sales literature or adding windows and gluing packaging made of cardboard and coated corrugated boxes – optionally also with tear-off strips and hot-setting adhesive applications for hassle-free packaging solutions.
Manufacture of packaging
Our folding box production for cardboard packages and folding boxes made of corrugated cardboard includes all the relevant processes from package printing through to finishing. As a supplier offering the full service from one single source, we employ a host of techniques for coating and finishing. Water-based ink, UV ink, gloss/matt/soft-touch or PET cellophane wrapping and foil stamping offer unlimited flexibility in achieving a high-quality finish for your product cartons. We can also supply your production with folding boxes for automated processing (pre-cut or pre-glued flat packs) and cardboard or coated corrugated board. You are searching for eco-friendly packaging? Our sustainable alternative varnishes in package printing are also extremely popular. We have an in-house gluing line for sustainable fruit and vegetable packagings and for fruit and vegetable trays that we deliver just-in-time for your convenience.

Digital printing and digital finishing are becoming more and more mainstream. There are unbeatable advantages over stock production, especially with small print runs and frequent updates.
